It's finally time to move on from IBrowse 2, which has been developed for over 20 years! IBrowse 3 makes available the previously unreleased features that were originally being worked on alongside IBrowse 2.4 (on a completely separate development branch), whilst retaining everything from IBrowse 2.5.9 and all the new developments since its release. The IBrowse 2 and 3 development branches are now fully merged, which was a complex and time-consuming task, due to considerable divergence. The process was completed methodically and carefully, in order to not compromise stability or lose any functionality. Development can now move forward without being restricted to the limitations of the IBrowse 2 framework, allowing for more substantial changes.

> Installation
Much of the old IBrowse 2.3 installation guide still generally applies. Everything that you need to install IBrowse 3 can be found from the download page including IBrowse 3 itself and links to the required AmiSSL v5 version and MUI 3.x, 4.x or 5.x. Run the respective installers and everything should be handled automatically for you. It is perfectly safe to run the IBrowse installer and choose your existing IBrowse 2 location - the installer will save your 2.x installation, install IBrowse 3 in a new directory and offer to migrate your 2.x settings across. If you already have IBrowse 3 installed, the installer will upgrade your installation and your existing settings will be retained. That said, you may wish to make a backup beforehand, although we hope there will never be any need to revert back to IBrowse 2.

Some of the limitations of the demo version are:

• It will exit after 30 minutes of usage
• Only one browser window or two browsers tabs at any one time
• HTTP(S) and file loading only (no FTP, Gemini, Gopher or mailto)
• Maximum of two simultaneous network connections
• Maximum of four search bar entries
• Always starts up with the about: page
